Blusafe contact lenses feature a blue light filter, reducing the amount of blue / violet light that the eyes are exposed providing comfortable, relaxed vision especially for those who spend a great deal of time in front of digital screens or under LED lights.

Blue / Violet light is a natural part of our visual light spectrum, it helps wake us up in the mornings and at night the reduction of it helps us sleep.

However, in our digital intensive world our mobiles, computer screens, televisions, tablets, LED lighting that use throughout the day and into the night, represent an extra dose of blue light in addition to our natural surrounds and studies are showing that too much blue / violet light has the potential to cause eye strain, headaches, retinal damage and disturb our sleep patterns.

Blusafe lenses filter blue light, they do not add colour, even though the lenses do feature a blue handling tint. They are made of a soft hydrogel material that is thin and will conform to the surface of the eye providing a comfortable wearing experience.
