Dailies AquaComfort Plus Toric

Toric is an optical term which means that the lens is intended to correct astigmatism.

Astigmatism is caused by an irregular shape of either the cornea or the natural lens which causes a refractive error, that can be easily fixed with a prescription lens in either spectalces or as a toric contact lens.

Dailies Aquacomfort Plus Toric contact lenses feature technology that releases moisture in to the tear film every time you blink helping to keep your eyes refreshed and moisturised throughout the day.  Toric contact lenses are usually weighted so the heavest part of the lens sinks to the bottom of the front of your eye to ensure that the effect of the astigmatism is corrected.  To help you insert Dailies Aquacomfort Plus toric lenses they feature scribe marks on the lens in the 3 and 9 o'clock position so you can line the contact lens up on your finger to insert it correctly.  

Dailies Aquacomfort Plus Toric lenses are a daily contact lens which are intended for 1 day of use and then they can be thrown away.   A days wear can be up to 18 hours although your optometrist will suggest how long you should personally wear them for.  Dailies Aquacomfort Plus toric lenses are not designed for you to sleep in and you should give your eyes at least 6 hours per day of non contact lens wear time to ensure your eyes remain healthy.
